2008 Spring Book Sale

The Spring 2008 book sale added Sunday afternoon to the usual Friday and Saturday. It garnered just over $3500, a tidy increase of $900 over Spring of 2007. Again, we are indebted to Don Porter, Stage 2 Furniture and Appliances, the County Fair Mall administration and maintenance staff, Kings County RCMP's Stetsons and Spurs,
David Foster who drove the moving truck, over a dozen stalwart SPCA members who unpacked and repacked some 160 boxes of books and manned and wo-manned the tables, and most especially buyers of all ages who continue to make these book sales a success.

Veteran booksellers Netty Peters, Mary Jane Penny, Marion Hebb, Sandy Sheppard, Andrea Northey, Barb MacDonald, Mark and Shannon Eastman, Lynn Morse, Yvonne Darris, Nigel and Sharyn Brown were joined by enthusiastic newcomers Marilyn Inglis, Connie and Bob McMahon, Donna Illsley, Rachel Cooper, Ruth Butler, Phillip and Loretta Taylor, Debbie Reynolds and Janet Coates A special thank you to Leslie Wade who donated sweatshirts and tees of her own design, and to Jane Moss who donated her popular embroidered bookmarks.
